Q: How does the Ranking Process Work?
A: The Ranking is based on Unique Page Views per day. IP Address's are refreshed once per day, so websites get a very accurate view of how many different visitors they get each day, Most of the older TOPSITE Websites refresh the IP address's hourly, which means that the ranking takes A lot of search engine hits into the equation and the site has an inflated amount of unique hits. This gives the webmaster invaluable and accurate information of true visitor numbers.

Q: My ranking is very low or not receiving hits at all?
A: Be sure that you have the "CODE" for the ranking button has been installed on at least your home page. The ideal is to be installed on a footer or margin, that shows on each web-page of your site (this will cover the times a person enters your site directly through a product page from a search engine hit). Some people forget to install the CODE BUTTON completely, meaning zero hits and a bottom ranking, and some install on their links page, which will only register hits on that page. Hence you will have a low ranking. Reinstall the code on front page for optimum Exposure to genuine hits.

Q: What information is gathered by the ranking Button?
A: The ranking button, ONLY collects the IP address's of visitors, these address's are only used by the software to ascertain a true UNIQUE VISITOR COUNT. To give a site a true ranking, The IP address's are not available to anyone (not even this webmaster) they are buried in the program and discarded every 24hrs. NO OTHER information is gathered or sent.

Q: I want our site listed on the "top fishing sites" But i do not want the ranking button showing on my site. Can I hide the Button from public view?
A: No. If you use any code, or anything else to hide the button, Then once we realise, your site will be removed. If you do not wish to show the button (which is a linkback to our site) then we will remove your site from the listings. you are free to submit a normal weblink instead if you just want the link popularity.

Q: Can we submit a PAGE OF INTEREST (and have our link and logo on the Page?
A: Yes you can and we encourage it, any tips pages specific to a style of fishing. Or any other quality information pages are welcome, please advise on the "contact us" page. Your website will receive the full recognition for your efforts.

Q: Will you accept request from websites that ARE NOT NZ BASED?
A: NO, We will not accept any site that is not NZ Based and or Fishing related

Q: Our site is NZ owned and we sell fishing gear, Or have fishing related content. However our joining application was rejected. Why would this be?
A: The only reason we reject NZ Owned Websites, is if their fishing content is only a small part of their overall business or content. As we strive to keep within the specialist nature of fishing, we require a site to have around 70% of their products or content must be fishing related. This is to keep the integrity of the specialist nature of the site.

Q: Can I Place a link on your links page, and not list, for ranking?
A: Yes, we do ask for a reciprocal link tho, but we don't demand a reciprocal (NO PORN or GAMBLING SITES THO)

Q: We are an overseas website and want to place a link on your links page, Can we do this?
A: Yes, once again, NO PORN or GAMBLING sites tho!!
